About me

Suzanne Baldwin

My goal is for every New Zealander to be financially well. This means having freedom and security relating to their financial situation and their future.

Suzanne co-founded ImPower with Tony based on their shared belief that by providing financial advice that is truly independent and unbiased it would help fulfil this goal.

She’s well qualified having worked in the financial services industry for nearly 20 years. She also holds the globally recognised Certified Financial Planner designation CFPCM which acknowledges advanced competence in comprehensive financial planning and adherence to high professional standards.

Suzanne is a member of the New Zealand Institute of Directors. She believes that companies who align their corporate values with investment in their employees’ financial wellbeing can achieve major benefits for both the company and the employees.

Outside of spending time with her husband, Paul, and their teenage family, Suzanne enjoys giving back to the community and is involved in fundraising events and volunteering for Harbour Hospice.

About me

Tony Walker

I believe that everyone has a better life when they are on top of their personal finances. This involves understanding what is happening and having the confidence to make smart financial decisions.

Tony has over 20 years’ experience working with clients to help them solve their financial problems. He has a wealth of knowledge right across the financial services area – not all problems fit into nice little boxes!

Tony wants New Zealanders to understand the real value of timely, unbiased financial advice. Unfortunately, a lot of people have not been able to enjoy that benefit. He co-founded ImPower with Suzanne to make a change to the way that people think about financial advice.

For many years, Tony has held the Certified Financial Planner (CFPCM) credential. This is an internationally recognised designation which demonstrates competency and ethical practice in the broad field of personal financial planning.

Tony is happily married with two adult sons. Over the years he has been involved in a wide range of community and industry organisations.
